Sailor Moon R Season 2 ~Uncut ADV Films Ver.~ DVD Box Set

The Dark Kingdom has been defeated and peace restored to Earth - but not for long. A mysterious pink-haired child calling herself Chibi-Usa falls from the sky, lands on Usagi, and immediately begins demanding the Silver Crystal. She is strange, she is pushy, and she has somehow hypnotized Usagi's entire family into accepting her as their own. Whatever she is, she is also being hunted - by the Black Moon Clan, a group of dark warriors from the future who have followed her through time with the goal of erasing Neo Crystal Tokyo from existence. The Sailor Guardians find themselves fighting a war that stretches across centuries, while Mamoru's behavior toward Usagi becomes increasingly troubling, and the identity and origin of Chibi-Usa slowly comes into focus.

Sailor Moon R is the second season of the landmark magical girl franchise, produced by Toei Animation and directed by Junichi Sato and then Kunihiko Ikuhara, covering two distinct story arcs: the Makaiju/Doom Tree arc (eps 47-59), featuring aliens Ail and An who are new to the series, and the Black Moon/Wiseman arc (eps 60-89), introducing Chibi-Usa, the Black Moon Clan, and future Crystal Tokyo. This 8-disc ADV Films box set presents the complete uncut Japanese version of Sailor Moon R with English subtitles - the same subtitle-only format as ADV's Season 1 set. Released in 2003, running 945 minutes across 8 discs with no English dub included. Note: one episode is missing from this set - a known omission that was present in the original packaging. Viz Media re-licensed the complete franchise in 2014 and released fully bilingual uncut editions across all five seasons.
