In Fate/Apocrypha, the Saber of Red is the Heroic Spirit Mordred, the "Knight of Treachery". Summoned by Necromancer Kairi Sisigou for the Red Faction, she is a homunculus and the "son" of King Arthur.
Fate/Apocrypha is a Japanese light novel series in the Fate franchise, written by Yūichirō Higashide and illustrated by Ototsugu Konoe, published in five volumes from 2012 to 2014. It depicts a "Great Holy Grail War" in a parallel world where two factions, Black and Red, each summon seven Servants to fight for the Greater Grail, a major departure from the typical three-master format. The series was adapted into a manga and a 25-episode anime by A-1 Pictures, which aired in 2017.
Fate/stay night is a popular Japanese visual novel that serves as the foundation for the expansive Fate media franchise. The story follows Shirou Emiya, a teenager who unwillingly enters a deadly competition called the Fifth Holy Grail War, where mages (Masters) and summoned historical figures (Servants) battle to the death for the wish-granting Holy Grail.
