Senran Kagura Estival Versus - Playstation 4

Senran Kagura: Estival Versus for the PlayStation 4 is the high-flying, fast-paced action game that brings together all of the series' rival shinobi factions for a beach festival showdown — with a story considerably more emotional than the title and setting suggest. The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long, and so it is with the lives of young shinobi. Ryobi and Ryona of the Hebijo Clandestine Girls Academy mourn their beloved elder sister every day. When a mystical phenomenon pulls the shinobi world's finest young fighters into a warm parallel dimension resembling a summer island, the girls find themselves face to face with departed loved ones — and must grapple with grief, memory, and what it means to fight on.

The 3D arena brawler gameplay puts players in control of one fighter at a time across large outdoor stages, stringing together aerial juggle combos, special moves, and the series' signature clothing-destruction mechanic that builds toward a powered-up Frantic Mode. Over 30 playable characters span all five rival shinobi schools — Hanzo National Academy, Homura's Crimson Squad, Hebijo Clandestine Girls' Academy, Gessen Girls' Academy, and Mikagura Girls' Squad. New to this entry is a wall-running mechanic that opens up vertical movement across the beach and festival environments.

The PS4 version supports up to 10-player online multiplayer — significantly more than the PS Vita's four-player cap — across free-for-all and team battle modes including the uniquely named "Understorm" and "Capture the Bra." A dedicated story mode, character-specific episodes, and a robust costume and accessory customization system round out the package.

Developed by Marvelous and published by XSEED Games, Estival Versus released in North America on March 15, 2016. The Endless Summer Edition includes: the game, a series art book, a 2-disc original soundtrack, and a randomly selected set of 2.5" x 3.5" collectible pin-up cards featuring characters from one of the game's four playable factions.
