The Sorcerer Hunters OVA is a three-episode companion series to the TV series, directed by Takao Kato, produced by Xebec, and scored by Kenji Kawai — returning from the TV series. Released in Japan from December 21, 1996 to April 23, 1997 as a direct continuation of the TV series' tone and cast. The OVA does not resolve the TV series' dramatic arc but functions as extended comedy episodes for fans of the ensemble. The English dub uses the same ADV Films cast as the TV series. Originally released in North America on VHS by ADV Films; the DVD — titled "Chocolate Springs & Other Hot Things!" — was released November 25, 2003, running approximately 75 minutes. A Perfect Collection Thinpak box set combining the complete TV series and OVA was released December 18, 2007. The Discotek Media Blu-ray (August 27, 2019) collects the complete TV series and OVA on a single standard-definition disc.
