Jima is an utterly average high school boy whose ordinary life is turned upside down when a bizarre, hyperactive alien girl named Nima drops into his household. Nima hails from a distant planet and possesses the mysterious ability to summon an immense, godlike power—unlocked only through a magical tattoo passed down through her royal bloodline. Unfortunately for Jima, her arrival brings a horde of eccentric interstellar villains, greedy bounty hunters, and chaotic monsters to Earth, all eager to steal Nima's power for themselves. As Jima is dragged into one absurd battle after another, he must survive Nima's suffocating affection, defend his home, and navigate the relentless, slapstick alien invasion descending on his neighborhood.
Based on the manga by Akihisa Ikeda (creator of Rosario + Vampire) and produced by Studio Toei Animation, Tattoon Master (Chō Kōsenshi Tattoon Master) is a quintessential 1990s sci-fi slapstick OVA series. Directed by Tetsuo Yasumi (Crayon Shin-chan, Ninja Hattori-kun), the series delivers fast-paced physical comedy, zany character designs, dynamic action sequences, and nostalgic 90s anime tropes. Released on DVD by Anime Works (Media Blasters), this complete OVA collection presents the entire chaotic adventure in a classic physical release with full dual-language audio options.
