On a serene, ordinary day at the Masaki household, Tenchi Masaki suddenly vanishes into thin air without a trace. Deeply shaken by his unexplainable disappearance, Ryoko and Ayeka put aside their long-standing rivalry to search the globe, spending six exhausting months scouring every corner of Earth. Their desperate quest eventually leads them to a quiet, rainy city where they discover a grown-up Tenchi living an entirely different life with a mysterious woman named Haruna. To their horror, Tenchi has no memory of his past, his alien friends, or his family—living contentedly in a nostalgic illusion crafted by Haruna's mysterious power. To bring Tenchi home, Ryoko and Ayeka must confront their true feelings and fight to shatter the melancholic spell binding his mind and heart.

Directed by Hiroshi Negishi (Tenchi Universe, Shadow Skill) with character designs by Hiroyuki Ochi, 1999's Tenchi Forever! The Movie (Tenchi Muyo! In Love 2: Haruna) serves as the grand, cinematic finale to the anime's universe continuity. Moving away from the franchise's typical fast-paced harem comedy, the film delivers a mature, hauntingly beautiful, and emotional romance drama that explores love, sacrifice, and growing up. Featuring lush hand-drawn animation by Studio AIC and a poignant musical score by Hiroshi Jun, this Pioneer Entertainment VHS release offers a nostalgic physical media presentation of one of anime's most memorable feature film conclusions.
