This single-disc release collects four short OVA specials from the Tenchi Muyo! franchise that serve as delightful sidesteps from the main continuity.

The Mihoshi Special opens the disc: Mihoshi falls asleep on the deck of the Masaki shrine and, when asked about her most famous Galaxy Police mission, begins narrating a wild adventure that casts all of the Tenchi household against their will — Ryoko as the thief, Tenchi as the heroic officer, Ayeka as his heiress fiancée, Washu as a gleefully unhinged mad scientist, and Sasami as Mihoshi's apprentice detective. The case involves a scheme to destroy the universe, which Mihoshi's narration renders both more and less comprehensible than you might expect. Along the way, the Special introduces two characters who would become franchise staples: Kiyone Makibi, Mihoshi's long-suffering Galaxy Police partner, and Sasami's magical alter-ego Pretty Sammy — making this the debut of both characters in animation.

The three Magical Girl Pretty Sammy OVA episodes that follow transplant the Tenchi cast into a completely different continuity: Sasami Kawai is an ordinary fourth-grader selected by the queen-candidate Tsunami to become her magical girl champion on Earth. Her rival is Pixy Misa — her best friend Misao, transformed by Tsunami's jealous opponent Ramia — who summons Love-Love monsters to defeat her. One episode features a Bill Gates-parodying software villain attempting world domination through (very slow) shareware.

All four specials operate in the Tenchi Universe parallel continuity rather than the original OVA timeline. Released on DVD in North America by Geneon Entertainment on October 29, 2002.
