Kuroto Nakano is a overworked, exhausted salaryman trapped in the endless grind of a soul-crushing corporate job. Night after night, he returns home to his empty apartment carrying a heavy dark aura born from stress, burnout, and loneliness. One evening, after another grueling shift, Nakano opens his door to find an adorable, eight-hundred-year-old fox demigod named Senko-san preparing dinner in his kitchen. Sent from the spirit realm specifically to pamper and heal tired mortals, Senko-san takes it upon herself to pamper Nakano back to health. Through homemade meals, ear cleanings, tail fluffing, and endless care, Senko-san gradually dispels the darkness clouding Nakano's spirit, bringing warmth, comfort, and simple joys back into his daily life.
Adapted from Rimukoro's popular manga and produced by the acclaimed Studio Doga Kobo (My Senpai Is Annoying, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun), 2019's The Helpful Fox Senko-san (Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san) is the ultimate heartwarming, "healing" (iyashikei) slice-of-life anime. Directed by Tomoaki Koshida (Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru) with bright, comforting visuals and a soothing musical score by Yoshiaki Fujisawa (Love Live!, A Place Further Than the Universe), the series offers a gentle, relaxing antidote to everyday stress.
Released on Blu-ray by Funimation, this complete series collection includes all 12 episodes in crystal-clear high definition with dual-language audio options.
