On the desolate, desert planet of Gunsmoke, a legendary gunslinger named Vash the Stampede carries a staggering $$60,000,000,000 bounty on his head. Dubbed the "Humanoid Typhoon" due to the destruction that follows him, Vash is surprisingly a goofy, donut-loving pacifist who refuses to claim a single life. Closely tracked by two stressed-out Bernardelli Insurance Society agents tasked with minimizing his collateral damage, Vash travels from town to town under a blazing double sun. However, the lighthearted atmosphere quickly darkens as his sadistic twin brother, Millions Knives, unleashes a lethal group of assassins to break Vash's peaceful spirit and force a violent reckoning.
