Yakuza bosses are supposed to be tough, ruthless, and treat their men like cogs in a callous criminal machine. Yashiro, however, is a different story: an emotionally distant young boss who is also a closet masochist. Enter Chikara Doumeki, a stoic and taciturn former cop turned newly appointed bodyguard. Though Yashiro makes a rule never to lay a hand on his own men, he quickly finds himself drawn to Doumeki's dark past and silent allegiance. As their troubled lives collide in the underground world of organized crime, an intense and volatile relationship begins to unfold.
Twittering Birds Never Fly: The Clouds Gather is an anime film adaptation based on Kou Yoneda's wildly popular Boys' Love manga series. Produced by GRIZZLY and directed by Kaori Makita, this captivating noir drama pairs sleek visuals and raw emotional intensity with a critically acclaimed jazz score by H ZETTRIO.
