In the world of the Senkou High School Literature Club, five students were suddenly gifted with extraordinary, god-like superpowers. Usually, this is the part where the world-ending threats arrive, the secret organizations strike, and the epic battle for humanity begins. But for Jurai Andou and his four female clubmates, the cosmic clock seems to have stalled. There are no villains to fight, no worlds to save, and absolutely no grand destinies to fulfill.
Instead, they are left with incredible powers and the crushing monotony of everyday high school life. Jurai, who suffers from a severe case of "chunibyo" (eighth-grader syndrome), is thrilled to finally have a "Dark and Dark" flame—even if it’s lukewarm and practically useless. Meanwhile, the girls possess abilities that can manipulate time, space, and the elements, yet they still have to worry about midterms, club budgets, and their growing feelings for their delusional leader.
