The World of Aionios: Players follow Noah and Mio, soldiers from the warring nations of Keves and Agnus. In this world, humans are engineered for a ten-year lifespan (terms) spent entirely in combat, forcing the protagonists to question the nature of their existence and the "Flame Clocks" that dictate their survival.

Interlinking (Ouroboros): The core combat mechanic allows pairs of characters to "Interlink" and transform into massive, powerful forms known as Ouroboros. These forms possess unique ability trees and can unleash devastating attacks without a traditional cooldown, provided the heat gauge is managed correctly.

Class and Hero System: Moving away from the "Blade" system, Xenoblade 3 features a highly flexible class-swapping mechanic. By recruiting "Heroes" through specialized quests, players can unlock up to 26 different classes, allowing all six main party members to take on roles like Medic Gunner, Heavy Guard, or Swordfighter.
